Yeah my mate got a set last summer they add extra movement to your lure the closer to the reel the more movement you get. I quite like what they do for spoons and tobies so i took 1 off him. You could easily make 1 yourself out of a large paperclip.

Like i say I quite llike what they do for spoons n tobies n my mate swears by em for all number of lures just depends on how close to the reel you can put it on your rod. But I'd still go down the D.I.Y. route i don't think they're as cheap as they were when he got em.

Ive just ordered one from USA. Cant wait to try it out.
I asked about these in a tackle shop earlier today. They hadnt heard of them but thought they were a great idea, but didnt know how to get hold of them.

purely a gimmick sorry people but constricting the loop size as you wind wont make your lure do anything extra. how much difference does it make at the tip which lets face it is where you really impart the action into a lure.
speaking of gimmicks ive bought a reel that is 'different' and for a while i thought it was a gimmick, but it works i didnt throw a single loop when i fished with it so no birds nests wind knots etc http://www.wavespinreel.com/

Have a look on Ebay Drew. Thats where i ordered it. Cant find any uk companys selling this. £ 10 Delivered from USA. Cant moan for a tenner can you really hey ?
They come in small, med, large, depending on size of shaft 4" up from the reel seating. You will have to measure the diameter. Simples!!

Well, the line dancer turned up, very quickly i might add considering it was from USA. Great little gadget. Does it really work ? is it a gimmick ? we will have to see, next time i go spinning or lure fishing. will post and let you all know fellas.
By the way, i use the medium size. They sent me a small and large size as well. if anyone wants one, you can have at a cheap price of £4 each posted. PM me if anyome interested. ( if you go onto their website, they show you how to measure to make sure you get the right size.)

One thing I know from tinkering with rods or using rods with an eye too close to the reel, is you get line twist. The line coming off the rotor forms a cone shape...yes?
If the butt-ring impedes the shape of this cone-shape, you get twist. Adding an extra ring between the rotor and the butt-ring will give you twist I'm sure. I'm so sure, I won't be trying it.
