front or rear alarms
Looks like youve got it covered from every angle Hurricane.
I use front buzzers with pike swingers at the rear. Works for me perfectly.

They are a quality bit of kit from what I can see. Bright LEDs look good and great sound indication.

Re: Front or rear alarms?
As long as the line clip is adjusted correctly and the baits are not fished at too much of an acute angle I don"t have any problems useing a pod.Mick Cobb wrote:hurricane wrote:Been having a discussion regards front versus rear alarms.

I do use sticks when it suits but remember guys, no more than 3 mtrs between the butts.
I got a warning for this on a Birmingham park pool for that.

Re: Front or rear alarms?
Apart from the obvious use inside a bivie, it means you can turn the vol on the heads down/off and still not miss a bite if your attention is diverted.

Also great for stealth approaches on 'guesting' waters lol. Rods hidden away behind the bushes, alarm volume off, reciever on vibrate in the pocket, pair of binoculars....i'm just bird watching guvnor, honest!

Mine were the "at the time" top of the range Optonics with vol & tone control and 2 or 4 blade roller wheel.johnnym wrote:are yours the ones that delkim made when they made a return after optonics took del romang (i think that was his name)to court? mine are old converted optonics cost 36 quid a pair, must have been about 28 years ago probably one of the last before the court action
I know you used to be able to get a Bamford convesion model but that got stopped.
I only use them on odd occasions to upset the tackle tarts or sometimes with my awayday kit.
