only ever borrowed a mates 9cm soft 4 play, found it hard to get a decent action with, steady retrieve, jerky retrieve but no.

as far as i know from members on the LAS forum, the 13cm is a 'Jack magnet' but I am yet to try or even have one.. am thinking on getting a couple to try.

am unable to comment on the 19cm or even the 25cm models.

Must have a dozen of these in different sizes.Never did much on the small sizes until I read somewhere to put the jig head through the side of the lure so it flips around like its dying.Something to do with it looking like an easy meal rather than just another fish swimming normally.

I mostly use the 19cm. I rarely use them with a jighead, just a wire frame and one treble, sometimes i rig them with 2 smaller trebles.
I did this clip when i 1st tried them out.

They are good among weed. Had plenty on the 13cm size with the single hook point pushed down in the slit on the back. I used to use spinnerbaits in the weed, but find that the 4plays don't pick so much weed up and most takes I've had have resulted in hooked fish too.

Those little weights they supply are rubbish though, they fall to bits when you try to thread them on the hook shank.

I think most lads prefer fishing them on a lipskull going off feedback on the forums.
I rarely fish them on a lipskull or a jighead, i mostly use the 19cm and fish them on a wire harness. I just think i get more out of them rigged that way???

Laughing I can't take credit for it, that was my pal Bobs pike!
The wire i made the harness from is 1.2mm stainless steel welding wire, i use it a lot for rigging softbaits, to date it's never let me down.
The lipskulls give them a more pronounced action & pike like them, but on a wire frame you can fish them fast/slow, on the surface, sink/draw etc. That's all i meant by "get more out of them".
