I feel your pain silkmen. i lost a fish a few years back that would have shattered my PB. It tailwalked at 100yds (bait boated out) and showed me its size and then threw the hooks. How do you describe it??????? I went cold, then cried a little and then got angry that i hadnt used new hooks lol. Next time ☺☺☺ I feel for people who dont fish

Tried a different venue and had another brace!!!!! 12lb ers this time though lol. Missed one other run so not a bad day at all really. If they were all 20s we would get bored

a little 4hr session this morning before the next set of gales rip through Ireland. I had a nice 5lb followed by an absolutely stunning marked 9lb and a welcome 12lb 5oz. Nice morning to sneak out because it could be a while before its weather for it again. Good luck everyone.

I've been out for a few hours today and had yet another blank
Don't know where all the pike have gone lately

I did have a run but it let go as I struck into it and I hooked a old quilt cover that gave me a right fight I thought I had hit into a big pike at first
Took a while to get it in as you can imagine it was full of silt / mud and stunk horrible but at least I got a bend in my rod

Yes that's better I tried to turn it round but couldn't.  I had the same with a plastic bag once. One thing is I am really getting

When I was a teenager I hooked a plastic bag in the canal whilst spinning. Wished I hadn't as there were two dead kittens in it. Put me off fishing for ages.
