Re: Anybody Catching
Looking at the previous post, fishing looking a bit slow at the moment. Is this the right time to try a new water or
should I go to the water where I have caught before.

norfolk
just back from the annual broads pilgrimage with the silly boys. weather made the fishing rock hard but was worth it in the end as i had the money for the biggest fish! 23-02 new norfolk pb for me and my old mate managed an 18-5 and 21-02. happy days- very hard work though and fished into the dark a couple of days. just got to wait till next year now! i will never get my head around the tactics up there- sometimes they won't look at a deadbait as they are quite pressured fish . i only caught on lives but my mate only caught on deads-strange but true.

And I thought I'd share

Anything over 80 is considered huge

lowdouble wrote:Very nice conditioned fish dave, well done. I wish they lived in Ireland too.
And I wish we had your concentration of pike
And salmon
And cheerfull people instead of a nation of people who are perfectly contempt being miserable as long as their neighbours know they have more money
Local predator anglers here pay good money to go fish a week in Ireland
So don't worry bout fact that there's no zander I am the one who is jealous of you

Re: Anybody Catching
Nice looking Zed there Dave.
I was out yesterday, in the wind and rain. I managed to get a 10lb 14oz. The wind and rain stopped in the afternoon, and I had 4 runs missed 2 and lost 2. I always strike early, this may have led to these losses but id rather miss or lose them than have a deep hooked fish, I have had a couple in the past and its not very nice.

Re: Anybody Catching
The grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence Dave I have guided for many different nationalities, (Italians, Germans,
Dutch) Fantastic lure anglers all of them.
Well done Idlepiker, I am fish less this weekend with the weather keeping all of Ireland indoors lol.

quiet month
normaly for me December can be quiet for pike ,but for some reason this month it has really slowed down on the pike , maybe all this rain is to blame or not cold enough.....lets face it its very warm for time of year.....north west anyways
