Re: Anybody Catching part one
Talking rubbish about Camelots, kings head and the black bull, and the gaumont lol, great times
Re: Anybody Catching part one
Well it happened again for the second time I gave away my chance of 3 x twentys in a day. 2 guys blanked on their boat so sad faces there lol. me and my boat partner did slightly better. i had a 20lb 2oz on my first cast lol, then a 9lb . My guest looked a little pissed off so when my drifter sailed under at 150yds I offered him the rod and he quickly agreed it was a good idea 5 minutes later i was weighing and photographing a stunning fat 28lb 10oz monster. I was happy for him but slightly sick at the same time lol. 1 hour later I had another run producing a 23lb 9oz beauty (my 6th brace of twentys) We finished the day with another low double and I managed to miss three more and lose what felt a very good fish too. not too bad for two days. 5 best fish 19lb 1oz, 20lb 2oz, 23lb 9oz, 25lb 10oz and 28lb 10oz. all wild fish too The weather is better this morning so expect a blank

Excellent fishing.
Out of interest, I take it you run a guide service in Ireland. Would you please PM me your details and where you are based as I might be interested in a trip next season.

Looks like you are having a great end to the season after a slow start.
I blanked today so things are not getting any better. I have booked a 5 day trip to Scotland in March I did very well last March so hoping for something big.

It was tough in the middle Psion, my goodness dec/jan was a grind. but started the season fantastically with a pb 29 and 2 other 20s. i hate mid winter lol
Re: Anybody Catching part one
Had the afternoon on a water near Doncaster today 12pm to 4pm I was sat watching motionless floats for 3 hours with casts made all over until I finally got a run only a small jack about 4lb but welcome all the same on a piece of Lamprey injected with sardine oil which was still in good condition so back out it went to the same spot and a few mins later it was off again struck and i'm in again then no i'm not its off baits still good so back to the same spot and after about 10 mins its off again and after a short scrap one of about 5lb was on the unhooking mat
And the lamprey was still in good condition and still dripping oil so back out to the same spot again and after a short while its off again and another pike is on it felt a bit better but not big and was soon on the mat and weighed in at 8.3lb and time had run out for me just as I had got into them I wonder just how many I would have ended up with had I stayed a hour more
Only small pike I know but very welcome all the same
Tight lines all

Well done Adie, a lovely afternoons sport
Weve had no more 20s but a good few doubles and a shed full of jacks. yesterday saw a couple of bonus fish with 2 lads getting PBs brown trout at 8lb and 8lb 7oz, totally wild and in mint condition. mackie tails in 25ft caught them both.

Re: Anybody Catching part one
A excellent few days for your mates and yourself Andy they will be going home happy glad that it came good after a slow start mate
Good size pike are getting harder to find around Doncaster I know of the whereabouts of some but so do many other piker's so they are constantly being hunted not for me I would rather wait until I come across one that no one knows about might take some time though

Re: Anybody Catching part one
One of these boys has had 40 sessions in your area this season, and he tells me of the number of anglers that are competing for the same fish. 10 blanks and biggest fish 18lb. he loves Ireland now lol.
Re: Anybody Catching part one
Thats 6 days done and dusted 20+ missed/lost, 32 Pike landed, 11 doubles to 19lb 1oz, 5 twentys to 28lb 10oz and two trout over 8lb. Job done.
