New season started.

Was a nip in the air so time for my pike fishing to start, I got proper soaked, my boots and bottoms decided they are not going to be waterproof anymore but I did manage 3 jacks before I had to give up, (why can they not cut the river banks nice and short and put abit of woodchip down ) Am joking I love making my own pegs, will get out one more time before the thing cannot mention on here ....

Am struggling this season to get past the jacks, had a follow today from a decent fish I did everything to try make it strike, I managed to get a Ad Swier in my finger and to finish off I did not think they could get any smaller but they can, think its time for a break

Keep at it mate I'm sure the bigger pike will come soon 

Have done 4 days this week well 3-4 hours each day still only jacks, Am not a greedy man Adie just a 10lber before xmas will do

Had abit of time off, cleaned off my rod, reel and bits and put away, I got out one day last week fishing near a bridge casting to a gap in the bank, had a audience watching it only took 3/4 casts fish on just another jack:) thinking there might be a big girl sat in the gap I started casting second cast my reel fell of my rod I hadn't tighten the lock nut, a few choice words and feeling very red      I decided there was no fish left at the bridge and moved down the bank, lesson is always check your nuts before you start fishing...

No chance of a 10lber been told by afew anglers now I will be lucky, by the sounds of it its still been fished by EEs, I will still give it to the end of season but its unfishable at the moment...

If the rain holds off my season should restart next week

Got out yesterday first time this year, gave it a good go and blanked .....

What a pike season that was…most of it was a write off due to rain /water condition which made it unfishable for me, anyway managed a couple of trips out in march, With some skill I made a four piece rod into five     (hope I can get a new end bit),
one off the last fish of the season felt 10lb heavy(but who knows) so happy days could not ask for much more….
