i did well last year on just using singles fishing with sprats on the local canal ive got some partridge doubles to try this year aswell Smile

i only used that method when i was using suspended dead under float worked a treat and never missed wouldnt be so confident in using it with a running rig set up it may work just as good i just had a bit of doubt for some reason if that makes sence lol

Sorry Craig. What I meant to say was that I use either a pair of doubles or a pair of trebles. lol!

Very Happy Some of my Buzz baits have a single hook size 3/0, And although you catch some good pike there are lots of missed fish, I somtimes cut the single then heat it and bend it into a circle put a split ring on then a treble, Your catch rate goes up then, Cool Very Happy

Been using a big front single through the lips and rear trebble in the flanks recently with no noticeable difference in hook ups.
Sill use a standard pair of trebbles on some waters where the pike are more finiky and tend to sit there mouthing the bait rather than running off with it.
