has anyone used these as bait??

i got given a bag of whiting this morning does anyone know how good they are or if any one has used them for dead bait??

Never used them, but if someone gave me some I would, in fact I would use any fish as dead bait, I honestly don't think any pike would turn its nose up at an easy meal

yh i suppose but maybe if they get used to being caught on mackeral or other popular baits they do sometimes do turn their nose up at it, just im not sure how popular whiting is and i hope that the pike wont be used to getting caught on it lol

Well I have never seen it in any tackle shop, so I don't think Mrs pike has ever seen it on her menu, she will love it

it works well enough its in use round here has been for a good few years

ive used whiting for years and caught enough fish on them to keep using them,i have them in my freezer all year round they work well on pressured waters too

I'd use them in a flash.

i had a 9lb 9oz fish today on one..... me and my dad use them alot cos we nearly always catch a few when we go beach fishing

ah thats good then lads n iv got a few bags of whiting in my freezer and my mate caught them when he was beach fishing, il be using them on the weekend

done a lot of beach fishing another good sea deadbait is a garfish i cut then into 3 or 4 inch sections lovely bright silver fish
