( ALL pike over 9lb to be returned )
SO does this mean you will be taking all the pike under 9lb out or allowing them to be taken away ???
A like to your website would be a good idea

This is a Pike Fishing Festival. We usually hold a week of Pike Fishing by boat at the end of the Trout season, due to popular demand we have decided to open for the whole month for Bank Only.

Re: LLYN BRENIG BANK PIKE FISHING FESTIVAL 2009
I know this might sound like a stupid question but why do all plugs have to be more than 6 inches?
Feel free to laugh/sigh and then write a response but remember I am a newbie

They hope that their trout won't take them.

I does doesn't it?
Don't like the sound of this at all. Very strict rules.
As a few have said: What happens to the pike under 9lbs?
So what if a trout grabs your lure? What is wrong with that? All my lures are under 6".
And, as has also been said, where is the website link?
I for one won't be going and can't see many members of this forum attending either.

Re: LLYN BRENIG BANK PIKE FISHING FESTIVAL 2009
I do apologise.
Im just advertising that there is a Pike Week on Brenig next Month. I do not make the rules! i didnt realise i would get this kind of replies off such forum!
our web site is currently under construction!
I believe the reason for the lure sizes is so because of the trout!
thank you

The 6" rule includes the trebles too by the way, so if you're using a Slider for instance, which is approximately 5 1/2" without the trebles, it's actually quite legal with the additional treble's length on the end. Failing that, you could add a grub-tail to a long single onto the back end, thus extending the length.

Re: LLYN BRENIG BANK PIKE FISHING FESTIVAL 2009
I have asked the PAC to look into this as they have previously had events on this water.
Until I find out the facts surrounding the issue of returning pike I will lock the Topic.
