cor blimy they were lucky !!!
I watched one of the other clips too, there was a pike apparently tasting the water around the lure that I found fascinating.

Re: water wolf christmas prezzy
been out yesterday with the camera on the deadbait rod static popped up rig ........no bites yet again on this set up
played it back on the tv later on 2 pike visited my popped up smelt ..one of them came right up to it eyed it up and down seemed to taste the water around the bait just looked like it was barking at it then moved off sharpish .....the bait had been injected with oil and had a red pop up ball on its nose .... will try to upload it for you to see ....only done pics not vids so it may be a while

All interesting stuff, a step too far for me and takes the magic away for me and I'm not even old school but its a great way to get a better understanding of pike, I've a few places I could get interesting footage and it would be interesting to see but think I like not knowing and the what ifs too

your right its very interesting , you cant believe how good these are , don't get me wrong they wont catch you any more fish than the next man and you don't know whats going on till later in the day when you play it back its not real time....yet watch this space its a great way to observe your rigs on the bottom and your lures not to mention the terrain potential snags /hotspotsAsh morton wrote:All interesting stuff, a step too far for me and takes the magic away for me and I'm not even old school but its a great way to get a better understanding of pike, I've a few places I could get interesting footage and it would be interesting to see but think I like not knowing and the what ifs too

Each to their own, abit too korda for me, but do find it interesting, one of the YouTube videos I've seen the bottom terrain was interesting and lack of other fish about, I'd find it interesting in summer too in clear weirs observing barbel! Looking forward to seeing the footage tho, I'm abit backwards with technology

Nice toy.. .. Think I'd be to affraid to use it.. I use the hummingbird smart cast to look at depths and features, it gives go reading's,also fish finder gives clear pinterested on screen..all portable.. and I've had 2 takes on the sonar on the surface, and at £30 a sonar it can be expensive...
