It was my pleasure to show you and rob some of my fenland stomping grounds which i,m very privileged to be able to fish regularly .

we certainly had a great time i know i did , and i,m glad you and rob both had some good fishing including robs PB ZANDER

we must do it again soon

ive got some cracking drains around me and theres sod all in them due to illegal trapping and removing of pike.

i am yet to try the drains this year (been hooked on my lake) but i will be giving them ago.

any way, awesome fish, whens my invite???? Very Happy

they certainly are and its getting worst every season the more we try and stop it the worse it becomes

i cant comment on it getting worse my end, as ive not tried any areas YET.....

now IMO these @rse holes will fish hot spots correct???

not all ways they do tend to tuck themselves out of the way and pillage an area, but if they do come across anglers bivvied up they will go and fish that area !! they will even if you give them a chance to fish in amongst where you have your rods they don,t care

agree with that, ive known some guy wake up in the morning with 3/4 guys fishing between his rods on the 40ft Twisted Evil

went today with bazz on deadbaits, i fished one rod ledger(alarm) with a pollan and the other float ledger lamprey(with my home-made floats). I had not yet master how the float ledger set up but with bazz's guidance and knowledge i was soon enough on a run of the day, a decent jack soon done a leap of faith out the water and lost the hooks, ''bugger'' not a sniff for rest of the day, on way back we stopped at 'THE RANGE' and had a look in tackle section, picked myself a set of rod rest heads up..

went out sat morning, just before 7am to about 11ish, had 3 aborted takes and blanked....... Crying or Very sad

Two sessions on local rivers and drains. Just one take on a float legered joey mackerel Sunday and a blank today.

Bit too mild yet for my local venues I think. No other anglers had caught any pike!

ive made baits before like that if you put a heavy clip were your spinner goes you can swap baits i use mine with shads and big grubs on jig heads Very Happy
