Aye of course...me too but it's not the same feel and they get wet anyway. Plus you're always taking them on an off to fiddle with a snap-link or chin a fish....brrrr....it's just horrible. I still do it mind you. Gluttons for punishment I guess.

yeh mate ive have some amazing sessions when its been freezing and snowing you just have to slow it all right down before xmas it was -5 and i out fished 4 deadbait rods by 3 fish to my mind a hungry feeding pike will take a lure in any weather just like it will a live bait dont get me wrong some days they just wont have it

for me summer evenings are the best on lures after a hot day when i cools down they really go on the feed

went down the local canal last weekend it was very active lots of bait fish diving about might take some lures and a float rod eary start first light

I will be trying again with the trotting technique on my local drains. 1 rod, centrepin and a bag of baits and bits stuffed in my unhooking mat covering as much water as i can in the day...got a good feeling about this weekend...lets hope i'm right lol.
