Hot Spots and conditions

Post  Slidze on Tue Sep 23, 2008 10:12 pm

Just looking for a bit of advice from you guys.

I've been having luck with casting at the tip of reed beds and under trees. I also seem to get lucky when I fish in waters that are more still and sheltered.
Occasionally a pike will strike my lure right out in the open water. Yet I have never caught anything if the surface is kinda choppy. Just wondering.......are there any other hot spots/conditions I should be looking for to maximise my fishing? (I fish mainly in lochs)

Thanks for reading. Very Happy

inlets, streams etc.if surface fishing in choppy conditions try a prop bait like a salmo turbo jack.
