Re: Line gate clips
For what reason are you after line gates as opposed to a line clip ? Such as the ones I fit to the Billy's Backbiters. I use the solar nite glow adjustable ptfe clips. Very good they are too works great with both braid and mono and for drop backs too

sorry to hijack this a bit.
how do the ptfe compare to top end stainless ones? particulary in less than ideal conditions full of mud etc like this.... <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/qjLUz-hVH3mfmMpSjr-81fTI5odbf4Tylv7C6PNCcjI?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-tSfNb83wHwE/UOWn2NpLtHI/AAAAAAAAAAs/3EgPIDsTLmU/s144/DSC_0055.jpg" height="108" width="144" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/111198341328887751070/DropBox?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCMC-wqubgaD1Bw&feat=embedwebsite">Drop Box</a></td></tr></table>

thats the pic i wanted

simply because the ones that are on my original backbiters are rubbish and i am modifying them and want good ones on.When i ledgered i never had a problem with the line gate clip type so i was going to use them if i could find some ?

Re: Line gate clips
Sorry for taking ages to reply kell . I don't know why the ptfe are so much better than the steel ball clips but they just seem to let the line move more freely and doesn't seem to nip.
Personally I think the solar ptfe adjustable is the best one available for us pikers

Re: Line gate clips
I always had issues with the line clips not always releasing.
Don't know why?
So found some old carp bobbins and butchered my fox indicators to take them.
Never looked back.

Re: Line gate clips
Get to the pound shop they have epoxy thta works just make sure you get the clear version. I use it to repair lures every now and then and seal eyes when replace them.kell wrote:i am just trying to rig a rotator up so i can coat mine with envirotex
