been out the last 3 weekends caught a few fish good start to the season ahead not been out this weekend man flu gutted

I had one hour before I'd have to go on the school run. The river is up a little but having said that it is currently dropping, flow is moderate with some colour. The fact that I was only out for a short time I just brought one rod and a couple of likely lures. I started off with a SG swimbait, it was quite sunny, the lure gave off a lot of flash I was feeling optimistic but after 30 mins nothing had happened. Time for a lure change, I went over to a Bulldawg type lure and fished it real slow letting it bounce off the bottom occaisionally catching some weed on its way.

This did the trick! must have been the third or fourth cast when it was taken gently, I initially thought I was scraping the lure off the bottom again but then the fun began. Not a massive fish but he gave a good account of himself. Its amazing what a simple lure change can do! With the large silver swimbait the water appeared to be void of fish, yet covering the exact same water with the Bulldawg an almost immediate result was achieved.

One hour, two lures, one Pike.................Result!

I've had 6 pike this week best one at 9lb 3oz just can't seem to find any doubles this week

Had a hour down at a local lake with Kell today throwing a few lures about
Kell had 2 perch and one of them was a very nice one 8-)



And just when i thought i was going to blank this nice little pike hit my lure

there might be a big girl turn up at that match mate you never know it could be a one fish match winner......i can see the headlines now adie ...adie wins match with a 28lb beast..

It is but its my sons 30th on sunday and we are having grandkids saturday night and going out for a meal wit him and the family on sunday otherwise i would have been there

Been out again today but only had a small jack for all my troubles

had 3 lost 1 on sat, all lightly hooked, 1 fell off at the bank,1 fell off on the bank and 1 just in the scissors

After a few blanks they came along like buses .
Four in just under two hours .
