My lads first pike, 4lb 4oz, he was well happy to finally catch after 4 failed trips, my other lad had a few follows too so hopefully next time for him

I reckon so, it's strange I used to take them course fishing and they used to catch a few then get board, then I took them lure fishing and even though they never caught they preferred doing that, I think it's the fact it's more active rather than just sit and wait, I think I was as happy he caught it as he was, just hope my other lad catches next time

He will never forget that fish, I can remember my first back in 1970...on the headland where the old SCAC clubhouse used to be in Hill's pit, South Cerney, (on a sprat injected with cod liver oil!)...It was only maybe 3lbs, but to me was the best thing ever:D
