yes eric it did go really quite on there about 5 years ago but had them to 18lb recently or should i say the wife has ....long storeyEric Edwards wrote:stubbo wrote:" /> small pike yet again
If that's where I think it is, I was the first person ever to catch a pike from there, must be getting on for twenty years ago now. It's had some lean years pike-wise, nice to see they're making a comeback.

Not enough in there for them to eat. If all you put in your water is big carp then only the carp anglers will be happy and to hell with the rest.

very true eric but have noticed of late they are fattening up a bit.....they used to be very lean and scabby at times.... it does get hammerd by the cormerantsEric Edwards wrote:Not enough in there for them to eat. Re: Anybody Catching
I,ve fished it 3 times with my son before Christmas and blanked.baitboats, the lot! Can be productive though but seems to be my bogey water which is a shame as its so close to me.last time on there,a dog owner walked all the way from car park, then decided to throw a stick in my peg for his dog! I asked him if he could swim and he turned back😉

nice chunky fish well inEric Edwards wrote:Had this one the other day, on a sandeel fished very close in. I always catch close in on this water, just past the marginal weed around fifteen to twenty feet out, always makes me laugh when I see people belting their baits out as far as they can.

Not even a run today, but it wasn't ideal conditions (bright, flat calm and bloody freezing) also never had a great deal of the water to fish due to most of it being frozen. Congrats to everyone who caught.

You can pick cannon g6 cameras up dirt cheap now to do self takes if you don't wana buy a fancy camera, their spot on for self takes with flip screen and remote yet cheap enough not to have to worry about having 100's of pounds worth of camera gear on you in bad weather

That 15lb 8 is a great marked fish, well done mate
Managed 9 the other day, 6 jacks, a 14, 15 and this the best at 17lb 4oz. I had had 2 blanks previously so needed a good day
