Have you changed anything to make the big girls attracted to you:D , like started using deads instead of lives, or is it a location success story.

just found the right water, and trying just that little bit harder. also tried to avoid the waters i know only contain smaller fish. i only use dead bait, not used live bait for around 20 years.

There is something about watching a float thats better then sitting behind bite alarms I should try in more often.

Well done

Well done Andy , good angling ............. The sound of the alarms screaming off, the drifter disappearing in an instant at range , the cigar float standing to attention before slipping under the surface, the dumpy float bobbing up and down and plopping under , the thrill of the take as your reeling your lure/spinner or wobbled bait in . . . I love em all 😀

Amen
But nothing gets my heart going like when you leave your lure in the water a few seconds
Before pulling it out for another cast when out of nowhere a pike flies in and nails it right in front of you

How could you explain the feeling of the take to a non Angler. They would never understand. Magical is a word i would use, your mind races and your heart pumps like hell lol. anyway, All types of hits ring my bell but i prefer the drifter float, as your always busy mending line and trying to steer the thing. It stops you getting bored but not as hard work as lure fishing, Dave Wink Mad Bad it can be a deadly method, but I use it from an anchored boat so the winds always perfect. From the bank with shallow margins its a real heartache. I was running the drifter through at 25ft yesterday.

The wife and I went for a run out yesterday we stopped off at a cafe and was very surprise to find it was next to

16 acre lake that MAY have pike in it which no-one as fished for must be worth a go.
