Re: Anybody Catching
I don't think the prey fish are shoaling up yet and this cold snap we are having may have put the pike off a little but it just may get the prey fish to start shoaling up
I think once they get over the first cold snap of the season they will be back on the feed very soon But I could be wrong wouldn't be the first time but then again I have had some good days right after the first cold snap of the season

They all count Pete , it's a pretty fish that, great markings. Plus, if that's a different venue then you must be doing something right pal, big ones will arrive soon. Mark my words 👍👍!
I had 2 today a 12 which I'm sure I've caught already this season ( might be time to move on) and a scraper double, which was another nice looking fish. I will try and get a pic up.

Re: Anybody Catching
well in lads and craig the difference in the way the local pike i catch to the fish u and others catch is unreal.these cheshire fish are totally different sometimes hardly no spots and very light green.its like they evolve to suit the clear water as theres hardly any weed just pebble bottom or sandy with big rocks.even our canal fish in muddy water are very light .i wonder whypiketastic wrote:They all count Pete , it's a pretty fish that, great markings. Re: Anybody Catching
Stunning fish Craig, some pike are just like new minted coins.
I had what can only be described as a red letter day. I arrived at the swim I night fish and found to my dismay the baits I threw in the margins last week were still there 8 days later not a great start for the confidence. Now I usually get one or two runs a session on this water so when half an hour in 3.30, I lost what felt like a good double, I thought I had blown my chance I took the bait back to the similar area and low and behold a 19lb 1oz latched onto my popped trout. Happy Andy Well after that and until 1.15 in the morning all hell broke loose. 8lb, 9lb, 10lb, 12lb 4oz, 14lb, 16lb 8oz and yet another 19 at 19lb 4oz. 6 doubles 2 jacks lost a double missed one and lost a real lump at midnight. WHY!!!!!! I wish I could re create things sometimes but i did nothing different at all. back to blanking soon I bet

Re: Anybody Catching
Save some for us to catch Andy 😳 Good job there's a sea in between us.😀😀😀 It's awesome fishing once more mate. Keep them coming and keep having them while the goings good. I never tire of looking at them however big or small.
It's right what Jake says the colours tend to evolve depending on a pikes surroundings. I like them all but particularly the ones like I've seen in pictures at chew where they have a brilliant white underbelly.

Re: Anybody Catching
It was minus 2 rozzo and even the my tash had frost on it lol. Clear skys and flat calm which is usually the kiss of death for my fishing. the Irish Pike seem to love a good wave on the water. I saw loads of shooting stars too so it could be an active moon phase or something else lol. I dont know anything but have a theory for everything
some good fish coming out
looks like its dial a pike on here at the moment , well in to all that's getting out , that's a good session lowdouble well in .
hope to get out there soon myself
