Re: Anybody catching?
Went out Sunday with my mate, had 4 jacks and a few missed/lost fish between us but we were the only anglers on the lake who had any action, not a great day but good sport none the less, definately be going back.

Re: Anybody catching?
I was out all day on the private lake, Kell came along, after fooling him that we were lost (made sure i went an unrecognisable route, thought about blind folding him, but he was driving). it was a blowy old day, we tried every bait known to man any way, in between flypasts by the Red Arrows which i had laid on specially for Kell we had a mad 15 minutes, I landed a nice fish of 12lbs 3ozs and before i had chance to re bait that rod, my second rod was in, Kell did the honours again and did the net bit and the unhooking, he said it was that long since he landed a Pike he needed to keep in practice this time it was about 7lbsish. I lost a good high double at my feet, Kell was heart broken although he hid it behind a laugh, i know he was upset for me all in all a great day and good company, thanks Kell I will come to you in a couple of weeks time and you can get your own back

My missus regularly reminds me that it is not the years, but rather the weekends, that have done me in.............

Re: Anybody catching?
was out 2day on a new lake never fished it before anyway i was doing a bit of roach fishing, took me up until 2 oclock to have my 1st roach, haveing moved around the lake 5 times, then managed to catch 9 more nice roach until it all came to a sudden stop!!! some local angler came around and told me there was a loads of pike in the venue!!! and the they loved the live bait!!!! so out came the pike rod with a live roach on(1st time i have done this!) had 5 takes all in the space of 1 hour, only hooked into three of them and landed 2 , the first one was around 7lb mark the other one i landed was around 10lb,
so not bad day fishing and it was free .
