im beaten at present, its frozen, but only just, some areas are fine, but i can fish them.... gonna pop back md mid morning and check again

Go to chemist and get some vaseline for your rod rings and glycerine for your line. That'll keep you frost free and fishing.

You can use hair conditioner too, if you can't get vaseline or glycerine.

what annoys me, is the local river that runs through my town (sleaford) is absolutely PERFECT....does hold some big brownies as well, easy upto the 8lb mark.

but still, not the point, it should be FROZEN lol gggrrrrr Laughing

Have you tried further down river newie like lock area if the slea is not frozen. Always use to be some good fish down there. I had a 9lb bream out on a smelt one year Very Happy
