Landing Net for Lure Fishing

Post  JAYZEE28 on Wed Dec 15, 2010 2:21 pm

Hello all,

Can anyone recommend a decent landing net for using whilst roving with lures? I am currently using my 42" net on a 2 metre pole, which is very cumbersome and trebles constantly get caught up in the mesh which is driving me crazy. I have a smaller net with a rubber coated mesh which is perfect for perch, chub and trout fishing but is too small for the pike. I would rather not chin the pike out with trebles flying around! Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Best Wishes
J

latex meshed net is what you want... korum only do a 27" and a 30" barbel spoon...

40odd quid, you can get a savage landing net, handle folds down

XL - Extra Large
net Size: 85cm x 70cm.
Handle length 105cm

Savage Gear Folding Rubber Landing Nets are super strong,
Light weight foldable landing nets for all forms of predator fishing.

The nets fold away neatly and the rubber mesh allows easy and safe
handling of fish and avoids lures and flying trebles becoming tangled in the mesh.

Thats a really nice net Newie.
allthough i prefer tri nets for general use, i have to agree with the late great Barrie Rickards...round is better for lure fishing....i'll miss the leg pulling we had with him over them, over the years.
He was very passionate about his round nets,God Bless Him. Smile

Bought my Savage net for Christmas and it looks mint.

Surprised how big it is!

Looking forward to trying it out but the quality is spot on.
