savage gear 3d trout with a stinger at the tail stopped the plucking.....
we never caught any big fish but we had a good day afloat and the weather was brilliant after ther fog went

Re: Anybody Catching
Had my first pike of the season from a local canal, fish was tiny but glad to see it as it means they are still there and breeding.Heard a lot of horror stories of fish being taken for the table:-(.Also missed a run which felt pretty decent:-(.Will be back down soon for another.

For enjoyment you can't beat floating round on a flat calm lake. When its like that I put on a trolling float and row round
the lake.

Re: Anybody Catching
Had a couple of hours to spare this afternoon, so I went to the local canal. Got 2 pike, lost 1. The biggest wasn't bad for there canal, about 7-8lb. Had 2 rods out leap frogging. One on a popped up smelt and the other on a float fished sprat on a bob which I twitched every now and then. Caught both on the sprat. Not bad for 2 hrs!
