sounds daft but catching your first 20  is the hardest , or at least it feels that way ,, then the 20s just kept coming

persuaded one of the lads from work to change venues, and come to my venue on Saturday and resulted in my mates PB at 23lb

he was well chuffed with the venue change ...he is buzzin and cant wait to get back at em Anybody Catching - Page 33 <a href=Anybody Catching - Page 33 Img_1010" />well in Geoff  good fish pal Very Happy

Sorry I havent posted on the weight v length thread but ive had the worst 3 days of "MAN FLU"    Great to see some beautiful fish being caught to cheer me up this morning.  Craig you are on Fire!!!!!!  very well done everyone who got out.

well after getting home rather disheartened about taking the wife piking for a full 3 days and nights for our first wedding anniversary and blanking I decided to try again today on a pool I new that holds a lot of small pike,so after an hours drive we got there at midday ish and set the float rods up with smelt and the alarms on popped up mackerel...I needed the wife to catch
and she did iam buzzing really buzzing hear she is with a wee 2 or 3 pounder and a pic or two from our mission out over the week end
and goosed now lads because she loves it lol

my new fishing partner is my best mate lol she even chinned it for the pictures once id showed her what to do she picked it up really well set all her rods up and put her baits on and casted out,,cheers lowdouble Very Happy

I hope so aide she done really well,,left baits in for a long time very patient to be honest she enjoys the peace and quiet awey from running the house
but when her float started to go today she was well on to it she still keeps looking at me now and smiling,,she pulled out of a good fish on Friday being to hard on the reel so I pretended to be a fish on her line and told her how to play them and today she banked its awesome feel really proud of her lol
and stubbo I nearly posted can anyone recognise the guy on the far bank Very Happy Arrow
she got half a day on weds so we going a local town pond with a few in she wants put the son to shame lol lol!

I wanted to post a can anyone spot stubbo lol but I wasn't sure he would have wanted me to..he a good chap tho lads great guy to talk to and never seen a guy put so much effort into catching he was still there way after his mates deserted him

they where leaving early to go the pub to celerbrate his PB capture cant blame him really

think I was the only man not under his brolly that day

I like to get me deads out then concentrate on the lures , I am determind to catch a good fish before the seasons out on a big lure

Perfect this morning on the Trent , a few roach topping , nice ripple on the water , baits in and around all the likely haunts, and a bring back down to earth with a blank Very Happy . I did lose one though , but that's 2 lost in a row . Roll on next week , for another go at them !!
