been to a work party today on the res I fish with my pal hopefully it will stand me in good sted to get into the club as a member as I can only fish the place as a guest when my mates fishing it...been barrowing stone for laying new paths as its a bit muddy,,,totally goosed, harder than it looks carting barrows full of hard core a good few hundred yards round a lake...had a quick half an hr on the lures before I came home but nothing

Caught this on Saturday out my local canal, first double out of there in about 18 months of jack after jack.... caught it on a dead roach on a float rig.

It weighed 12.7lbs and I had a few jacks.  Ive been fishing the same canal for about 12 years but never had anything over 15lbs....  one of the lads who lives on the canal has had a 27lbs I seen his picture of it he caught it in the night on a sprat.  Im desperate for a twenty pounder, they are there its just coming across them !!>>

what a lovely clean looking fish craig nice1 mate
ive really struggled from my local canal only had 1 out and last time I went I caught a half pound perch on a sprat
it got used as live bait but still didn't catch
its in freezer now

   your first twenty always seems the hardest then they seem to come along quite frequently..

Had to call my Scotland trip off because of the weather so when local just had three jacks.

my mate cant wait as he a real novice wear pike fishing is concerned
its give big winds and bigger rain this end tmoz
we are at it from 7 am until 5pm I think iam just going to bunker in on 1 peg and hope the best in my broken bivvy

had 2 today my pal had 1
had 1 around 1 and half lb and 1 which was prob a scraper double
the wind took my brolly straight in the res had to go and retrieve it from the far bank an hr later
tuff going today
