that is a stunner Psion mate,  absolute beauty.    We had a good day today too,  Mick who had never seen a Pike let alone caught one opened his account after about 10 minutes with a 3lb beauty lol.   by the end of the day he had landed 9,  lost 2, and PB after PB later sneaked this belter over the rim of the net    He thinks this pike fishing is easy now lol.  Different water tomorrow so maybe bigger and better,  maybe not

Well in to those catching, like piketastic said looked a perfect spot this morning but wasn't to be never mind plenty of bait left for another day, cheers again pal and il do some enquiries tomorrow about that other spot in my poshest voice too

Well we had 4 hours to kill today so went to a small local lough,  when we arrived there was 1" of ice covering the whole thing lol.  Venue 2 required so off we went to a deeper lough that to be honest i dont like very much but at least it was still water lol.   we started the account with a modest 8lb fish on the troll.  shortly followed by a stunning fat 12lb fish to me☺.   Not to be out done, Mick on only his second day afloat after Pike, ever,  managed to catch the lough PB with a superb fish for the venue at 17lb 10oz.  Some result for a day where the temps never rose above freezing and the fog never lifted once.   I love this fishing game

I even managed one today lol.  Beautiful proportioned fish

Yes, it was a hard fighting river fish. It was from a new stretch of river I been trying out. The track to get to the river is definitely four wheel drive terratory. At one point, I could hear the ground scraping along the bottom of the car which was a hit worrying but I only say this because landing a big fish makes all this effort worthwhile. Talking to the owner of this stretch of river, he thinks there may be some bigger ones to target on my next trip.

I had a couple of hours this morning and fished lures. Done 4 blanks in a row so it was nice when a beautiful solid 5 pounder nailed my savage gear rubber perch lure. Perfect looking fish , except for the large bite mark in its flank. It goes without saying, I will be back to catch whatever tried to have him for tea. 😀

They will come adie,  your next run could be a 30 and that will get you back on track lol.    Craig its all about being a guide when your guiding lol,  I know that sounds odd to say but its all about the guest. This man had never ever tried to catch a pike and didnt have a clue how to even hook a bait never mind fish different methods.  He had every run, and to be honest 8 of the 11 came on my two rods lol.  i only had one yesterday as two rods went at the same time

Thanks pal ,that place was like chocolate was a bit worried when I got there wasn't expecting much at all such a shy take aswell thought I'd missed it
