Re: Anybody catching?
Super fish pikeman! Was out too today -3 at 6.30am. Fished til 1.30pm. Just the one fish which I hooked but lost it at the bank as I couldnt get it above the ice at the margins. It didint fight like a big fish but I caught sight of the tail and I guess it was 3/4lb. At least it wasnt a blank. Heading out again in the morning. Last chance before the return to work on Monday.

Re: Anybody catching?
aye but the loch was beautifull. saw at least 10 red deer on the way up the side of the loch. frost round my jacket with my breath, the dug had frost on his wiskers, his tackle was trailing in the snow . he sat on the ice on the loch rather than the snow. then i got my chair out so he sat on my lap. acht it kept a smile on my face .

Re: Anybody catching?
Got out for 3 hrs this afternoon and caught a little scrapper of about 9-10lb and it nailed my sardine pretty much as soon as it hit the water. Had a couple of dropped takes too so things seem to be starting to look up after a couple of previous blank sessions
Was snowing quite a bit too today

Re: Anybody catching?
Nice fish lads.
I wish I got one yesterday. Total blankety blank yesterday at the same venue I caught the week before.
Last bit of fishing before I head offshore for a month too
Oh well back to it when I get back to dryland.

Re: Anybody catching?
I knew I'd struggle to find a venue that wasn't iced over today but thought I'd try anyway.
First stop was my local lake. No luck there as you can see in the photo.
Next I tried Leven Canal but that was frozen too.
My last stop was the River Hull.
I didn't feel very confident in catching here due to the Seal problem and me never fishing it either!
But it was worth a bash as it was to early to go home yet. lol
Well I gave it a few hours but no luck.
Lets hope some ice starts to melt soon. I can't wait to get back to my regular haunts.
