Re: Anybody Catching
cheers lads. turned out to be the only one today. moved venues which was a mistake as my second venue was still covered in ice apart from the odd pocket around the margins. gave it a go but nothing doing. all in all though it was great to be out again

Re: Anybody Catching
We have an old saying around here, "Never change a winning combination" So if your catching and using the right things why move, But you may still have only had the one, And what a good one it is, Did you say Happy New Year to it before you returned it,tootall wrote:cheers lads. turned out to be the only one today. moved venues which was a mistake as my second venue was still covered in ice apart from the odd pocket around the margins. gave it a go but nothing doing. all in all though it was great to be out again

Re: Anybody Catching
Had a great day fishing on sunday beat my personal best with a 15.5lb pike then beat my new personal best with a 17.3lb pike also had a 9.8lb inbetween and 2 dropped runs. The morning went past with not even a nudge on smelt and lamprey so changed tactics at lunch and switched both rods to mackerel then the lake came alive and the runs kept coming. To make the best of it i was fishing on a small part that the ducks had kept free the rest of the lake was iced over and i was told the night before that it was not fishable just shows that if you dont give it a go you will never know. Will try and get some pics up soon as i can work out how to

Re: Anybody Catching
well in mate - try uploading images to an external site like photobucket - it makes them far easier to transfer onto forums.
