Re: Anybody Catching
From the Baltic Sea, it would just be a Northern Pike, exact same as ours. Baltic pike are caught among cod and herring, often miles offshore. Mad but true. This is one Tim Kelly caught from the Thames (I think). Just shows colour variation.

Re: Anybody Catching
Yep, I've seen a picture with a small boat containing 2 guys throwing jerkbaits etc., another bigger boat where everyone is jigging for cod etc. and in the background, you can see a massive container tanker.
I thought it meant like fishing fjords, with lots of freshwater, run off from glaciers or something but no it's inland certainly but it's proper saltwater, with seaweed on the shore and herring everywhere.
Apparently there are lots of bream about too.
I'm actually very interested in fishing the tidal zone in the Clyde now since I've caught flatties up as far as Dalmarnock (and they go well beyond there) and caught dace, roach and skimmers down in the tidal zone towards Clydebank. The mullet go as far up the river as they can manage and believe me, it's basically freshwater where they stop. It's not the Baltic but clearly some species can cross boundaries quite safely and do it with regularity.
