Good grief man! Does it have a Spirit of Ecstasy on the front?

*(very jealous - I have a very fine, but very 1970s Norwegian fibreglass number, a piffling 13ft x 6ft, with a not to be sniffed at Shakespeare electric motor on the back! Laughing )

You dont need a fast boat to catch Pike Lorano lol   Ive a 10ft I love fishing from .

Anybody want another boring fish story lol.

Wagged work today as the weather looked perfect for drifter fishing,  constant slow winds and all the same direction.   well 4 hrs into the session I had managed to miss 4 takes and thought well thats it my luck has finally ran out Evil or Very Mad     I up anchored and motored a mile up the lough to try swim number 2.   Well it was like night and day bounce bounce bounce bounce    I never managed to get three rods in the water at the same time lol.  In 15 minutes I had a 7,  a 9,  a 13 and yes another 20 at 23lb 8oz and managed to miss 2 more   UNREAL,  and from a different water yet again!!!!!!   Never ever ever have I had a season like this Shocked Shocked Shocked    it slowed off for an hour and then through the afternoon I managed a 7,  11,   and a 15lb 12oz stunner too.     I can not believe this is happening to me.    10 twentys this season and 8 in january lol.  i can not wait for tomorrow as Feb is my favourite month Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Sounds like the water your fishing is stuffed full of pike mate!

All on the drifter?
I'd be happy with just one session as good as one of yours for the whole year!

And you need a fast boat when the loch is 24 miles long!😂

The lough I fished last week was 29,000 acres lol    16 miles by 6.5 miles.   theres no point motoring fast and catching nothing Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy    Ive 3 boats 10ft 17ft and 19ft,   just use the right one for the right venue Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy.   Most of the fish are in 5% of the venue,  knowing that area is the key☺    Its taken me 18 years to learn where that is (maybe) with hundreds of blanks.  time is the only thing stopping us all from catching 30s Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

all but one came on the drifter float today. Anchor off the shelves and drift baits over them, pike will come up 20ft for a descent sized bait 8oz or more.

Very lucky to have the waters around me. Believe me they arent hard caught, not like pressured fish in the UK, brutal strong tackle and time is all thats needed over here. 60lb trace wire and size 2 hooks, never been caught before fish, Time on the bank makes the difference here☺
