Anybody catching?

Caught this fella yesterday (9.5lbs) on a 10cm diving plug that looked like a goldfish

Looks a healthy bugga. Beautiful bold markings and not a scratch on him. Just how I like to see 'em.

Who cares if it aint a monster. It's healthy and that's what counts in my book.

a up mate yeah we were on pit 1 thanx for all the help u gave me and chris that day it was very much appreciated, we went to doncaster on a small pool on the sunday, its on here sandersons pond. lots of activity, we had a run or two but inexperience lead to them comming off and just as we had packed up we saw 1 right beneth our feet watching as we brought in our dead bate, we will be going bk there this weekend as we thought it was a nice place. be nice to see some of u guys there to give us a tip or two

Nah if anything pike become more active. Think dappled light and the markings on a pike's back. The similarity is obvious and I think pike take advantage of a stiff wind for that reason. It's rain that puts them off if you ask me.

na mate she loves a bit of piking.she did try chinning the fish but her nails were bit lng kept tickerling the roof of its mouth.lol

guys done an all niter sat nite on me local lake farlows fished 3 rods all float fished live baits ,how ever i have 2 problems y every time i was bringing um back in they manage 2 tangle me up so bad i had 2 break up and it was near on impossible 2 c me floats stuck sum starlites on um but didnt really help any1 no of a company that sells illuminated pike floats?????help

Hi davbav if i were you i would use sunken float paternosters to fish livebaits these will keep your baits in one place and cut out the tangles.

davbav check on ebay.i saw sum other day when i was looking for sum catfish rigs.they same sort of size as pike floats and were only a couple of quid

cheers guys went sat nite spent the nite in me van and my god it was freezing tried what u said with the paternoster with live trout stoped the tangles all 2getha.however was using buzzers with drop back indicators everytime i got a good run when i hit it nothing there happened bout 4 times line pulled out the dropback indicator buzzers were goin ccrazy but no connection with the fish , was definetly pike cause the trout were full of teeth marks??????

Had 6 fish to 14lbs yesterday. I might add that all the fish came to popped-up baits of all kinds injected with oil. All the regular baits, fished hard on the bottom failed to produce.

hi guys. well had a 1/2 day session today. fished 7.00am til 12.00pm on a small local pond,got wet through but had 6 runs hooked them all but ended up losing 3 and landed 3. nothing big best around 8lb but nice to get some action. another guy fishing up from me night fished and had 5 runs with the best going 17lb+. i was going to fish on the canal but when i got there, there was a 150 peg match on!!!. got up at 5am as well, BUGGER i will get a session on there soon

well trip to tyram didnt go to plan today.total blank.on a plus side tommy and his mate came over from derbyshire to fish with us,and they both managed to get there first pike each(well done lads)cant say im not at all jelous like but it was a good day none the less.hopefully wel have a rematch.think a different venue though.

alrite lads weve just got bk from tyram, we had a couple more bites after you left chris but we didnt land them, that was a good place where me and mellor were id go bk there again. let me know the venue mate and we will be there.

im alredy looking up other venues fo fish,seen afew that look pretty good
