it gave me the run around thought it was bigger as it stayed deep for a few minutes
fished this water 3 times and never had a sniff

went out today with piketastic to a local venue to me, and between use we had 7 or 8 fish, craig with the lions share as i only had 2 fish, a small jack and this beauty 18lb 6oz

Nice fish, well done mate. I had a big fat blank yesterday thanks to Wednesday's floods. Had I not been taken a newbie I would of stayed in bed. At least he learnt a few things though, especially what conditions usually warrant a blank  Laughing

Had 3 fish yesterday between 12lb on the nose and 15lb10oz , not massive fish but they are from a commercial pasty pond that I suspected may have a few in due to the floods in 2007 . I'll definitely be having a few more trips to see what else turns up

PB drain caught fish on a hard morning, took over a mile to find them. 2 takes on trout, 2 fish..

13.7lb PB (below) and an 11.2lb the levels were the lowest ive seen..

iam on the canal Friday
1st day of work ive had for weeks
going to go light and try the roaming tactics fishing each swim for 20 mins or so
got a bucket full of gudgeon my pal just droped of and some fresh sprat and sardine to try

yes mate same stretch to stubbo had some nice roach dropped of today to from same stretch also,ive never been one for live baiting until I tried it a month or two back and had some good results.
got a fish tank in the shed with a pump just like the a tank you would use in doors which ive put the gudgeon and roach in
iam out 1st thing cant wait
glad to have some time off work not been fishing for a few weeks now

drew a blank on the canal but out again tmoz in 2 minds to try the canal again or my local still water..the canal puts me of with it only being acouple of feet deep
its been cold hear for a few nights now and my thinking is try somewear with a bit of depth to the water

I've been out myself today and managed to catch one in the rain but not as big as yours this one was about 7lb ish   Very Happy
