Anybody Catching

I had my first outing yesterday and blanked Missed one run so not a total failure. Same as you Craig, fry scattering and pike/trout crashing into them. When they are preoccupied on fry its hard to get them to take anything else. there were billions of them too. next time they will be mine lol.

Certainly made up for yesterdays mistake. a day trolling lures produced a 2lb starter lol. 13lb 1ox, 14lb 4oz, 15lb 8oz, 16lb 7oz and a long and lean 19lb 3oz. I still managed to miss 5 more though lol. Happy to be back afloat

I was thinking of coming over to Ireland in April maybe we could meet up for a session.

Sure was craig,  and the same venue that I had one dropped run on the day before.  When they want moving baits a dead just wont do it.   I would love to have a chat Psion.  PM me your destination and we will have a good old chin wag☺

Nice I'm off on Monday so planning a trip, that was the smallest one of the day but the biggest wasn't that big so I'm in search of something bigger

On a slightly different part of my usual stretch this morning, had a take at 7:30, but, the hooks pulled out, gutted! I rebaited and recast, before I had set the indicator other rod was away, after a fantastic arm aching scrap, she left the water 4 times, she was in the net, at 20lb 5oz! A new pb by nearly 5lb. Buzzing!!!!!

Now I've had time to reflect there were a couple of downsides with this fish, namely the two traces already in it, one of which was quite deep that I managed to get out intact, the other was so deep I could only see the top of the bottom treble so I cut it off as far down as I could. I can only hope, as it took my bait it can still eat and will be OK and grow bigger

What a stunning fish mate Forget the slight negatives and cherish that feeling of total success, it doesnt come along too often:D
