Re: Anybody Catching
Well chuffed with this one. Went 15lb 2oz on the scales.
Worked hard for it too...had to walk miles to find a stretch of drain that looked right after i found that my old haunt was dreadged to death and its ruined the fishing...
Anyway, it scrapped like hell and when i first saw its head I thought it was pretty small until the rest of its body appeared out of the water. Was very fat in relation to head size.
Lost another one just before which i got a glimpse of and it was definately a different fish and also bigger, so hopefully i've found myself a hotspot.
Had to pack up early to make the walk back before dark.
Here's a few pics - really should get a proper self-take kit!

Re: Anybody Catching
Plenty of potential for that fish as well - could be a 25lb plus in a few months as it's a lean mean pike

Yeah, know the feeling. Fishing is very slow up here, you can go weeks without catching!
But then that lovely fish came along, well worth the wait.

Re: Anybody Catching
Went out for a short session with Sithee, this was a new venue that is rerely fished and has good potential for a biggie only on it three hours, nothing for me, but Sithee landed a nice 12lber it had some kind of a growth, about the size of a golf ball, but apart from that it was a good fish, sithee was over the moon it broke 3 succesive blanks. I am off to Ireland tomorrow night for 8 days Piking on the Shannon, I hope the Pike want to play
