My Little 4lb (estimated) jack that gave me a hell of a fight on Monday and my 17lb 4oz from Thursday,

Thought this was gonna beat my PB of 19lb 8oz when saw the head rise from the depths but to no avail

anyone catching
yep, had a good day today ( 1st dec 11 ). had a 22lb at 8.45am, then in the afternoon had a 14lb and lost another.
thats the 2nd "twenty" ive had in 3 weeks !! had several doubles there as well over the past 3 wks.
all at a local water 25mins from my house.
not bad i guess as ive just started piking again after a 3yr break.
bring it on.
ps. as soon as i can figure out how to upload a pic, i will put one on of the big esox !

Re: Anybody Catching
Went on tuesday to a local venue. After battling with the force 9 trying to get my brollie up & then realizing that I'd the left centre pole at home i finaly got my rods in and lines wet. Had nothing for 2 hrs then bang had a cracking run on a mackerel tail, staight away i knew it was something big. After a good scrap i managed to land a pb of 19lb 2oz . Pic 2 follow.

Re: Anybody Catching
Me and Kell had a go on another venue today just for a change
Going to call this one venue xx .
Its not a runs water but we do know there's some big girls in there but it can be a waiting game
We both had 2 rods out Kell had both his on float leger with small mackerel on both
and i had one one free roaming with a small silver bream as there's very little movement in this water and second rod was on a paternoster with half a lamprey !
After about 1 1/2 - 2 hours Kell had his first run and hit into a very nice fish which looked like it was going to beat his PB by a good few lbs but as he got it close to the waiting net it made a strong run and the hook hold gave way Kell was gutted and so was i as we watch the swirl were the fish had been
He was soon back in and waiting for the next run
which did come a while later ( i had not had a touch ) and this time it didn't get away as i slipped the net under it a nice 12lb 13oz
And here it is
That was the last run we had for today but we will be back here next week for the one that got away and hopefully one or two others
A good day with a good few laughs and putting the world to rights lol
