As I said on another post tried a new venue. We had 8 pike (4 each) The biggest 9lb nice place to fish, will be back and we will take the bait boat next time.

well, went out today for a few hours to a local canal and managed this one at 12lb 8oz

also had a screaming run that im putting down to an eel

Just had my first blank six rods 8 hours no fish.

Had my first pike of the season today

Yes lads, 7 of us went to the fish in, ( 4 lads from Lancs ) Rozzo, his nephew and myself. we had 6 pike between us also one or two of the lads had some cracking roach. The pike ranged from 4lb to a scraper double and the 18lb 10oz.  A good venue, good people and some good fish !

ok so here it is.  it appears that cellars clough isn't the only place with a golden pike,,, craig (piketastic) caught this fantastic 18lb 10oz golden pike 15 minutes after putting his rod out.  well done craig i hope to fish with you loads in the future.
rather disappointingly only 1 member of my home forum turned out to fish with me and the lancashire pikers.  he deffo took the day with this beauty and if you think the pic is a bit crap that is because craig was concerned for the fish's welfare above getting the perfect picture and it was all a bit rushed.

That makes up for the 13 blanks in a row last year lads    . A good start to this year .

Chware Teg... that's one way to start the pike season..   Welldone mate...
Rozzo, if i lived closer pal, i'd join the fish-in, just a wee far for me to travel, but if any time in the future, you'd consider a 2day event, then i'd be up for it...
