Re: Anybody Catching
Get out there as you never know what will happen.
Over 2 miles WALKED, soaked, muddy, wind swept,. WHO CARES when you have a morning like mine
[:T][:T]
DRAINS this morning, i never fish them that much.. was up, brownish, flowing nicely. SO, line of bait attack was simple. SMELLY, OILY fish..
1st fish a small 3lb 13oz jack, took half a bluey...
THEN IT GOT GOOD [][][][] re-casted, same spot, same bait, another run.
NEW DRAIN CAUGHT PB - 20lb 5oz of pure beauty:
Gotta show these some affection [:X][:X]
this followed a 16lb 14oz on a full sardine.
No more fish, levels were rising, must have come up 5/6" while we was there.
I LOVE THIS HOBBY

Re: Anybody Catching
Congrats.on your drain record Dave, great fishing in conditions that would have put me right off going(not as hardy as I used to be )
Stubbo, you cracked us both up with your comment on how to treat a woman, with valentine's day coming looks like she will be getting a pack of deadbaits and some fish oil to dab behind her ears .Good to see you are still catching, looks a very scenic place to spend a few hours, unlike the flat boring landscape on our part of the world.
Time to pack the car for that session I promised her.Hope to report a fish or two later.
